Here are a few of the films that influenced and gave us ideas for our opening sequence. When researching we thought about these movies because they are very popular romantic comedies. It also gives you an idea of what to expect in our opening sequence.
Bridget Jones: Influenced us when it came to narration and the actual idea of the film. Our main character is having trouble with her love life which is the same as Bridget Jones. Also we thought the narration would be a good way to explain the storyline.
Notting Hill: Inspired us in the same way, because its basically the same idea as Bridget Jones but from a males point of view. They also use narration.
Love Actually: The opening scene of Love Actually is couples being reunited and Hugh Grant narrating over the top, this gave us the idea to film couples at the beginning.
27 Dresses, The Holiday and How to loose a guy in 10 days, are just perfect examples of romantic comedies.
