first ideas

We have decided to do the opening sequence of a movie, to decide the genre we created serveys that we gave to people in our year, asking them about their favourite and least favourite genres. the results concluded that romantic comedy is the most popular in our age group, at least from those we asked. We asked what people most like to see in a movie, and most said they enjoyed a interesting, comical storyline with a happy ending.

Using these results we decided on a romantic comedy of a woman in her mid 20's telling the story of her love life, and the troblesome love life of her two best friends.
We intend to have narration over the camera shots, setting the scene, location and story.
For the moment we are undecided on any music we are going to use in the background.

Our target audience is 15-24 years, as most people between these ages start experiencing love for the first time.

The results:

We sent the surveys to teenagers aged 16 to 17 and the results were quite obvious. Most of the girls ticked their favourite genre as Romantic comedy, and most the boys ticked action or horror as their favourite. The least favourite for both genders was sci-fi. From these results we decided that the genre of the video we are going to produce is romantic comedy.
