why did we choose our song?
we thought that goodbye my summer love fitted in really well with the atmosphere of the film,
there is a long intro to the song which we edited a bit to fit in better with the film opening. the song was from an unsigned band website, where we listened to many before selecting our song.

the song talks about various elements which fit the mood of the character 'lily' and show irony between the arguing couple this was another aspect why we picked this song as we wanted to show irony throughout and saw the song as a key element in doing so successfully.

we also thought that this would typically be the type of song that would feature in a romantic comedy, the start is very light and gives a 'happy' feeling to the listening, which again would appeal to our target audiance. the name along also fitted in 'goodbye my summer love' as the reason we chose to do a romantic comedy was that we said our target audiance of 15-24 would be at the time throughout their lives when they will first experiance love and relationships of their own. this would again allow the audiance to relate to the movie and attract their attention throughout, love was also a key element within the film and the film was based on the idea of love and the idea's around love itself therefore we felt we needed something which would reflect this.
